Project Manager – Business Operations

Sungage Financial is seeking a Project Manager to drive the execution and completion of cross-functional projects supporting the development and implementation of new products and processes. The Project Manager will be expected to work proactively and independently to seek out information, solve conceptual problems, corral resources, and deliver results in challenging situations. S/he must be comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently and will be asked to execute on specific aspects of the project in addition to project-managing. As the role expands, the Project Manager will be expected to take on additional tasks as required by the business.

Day to day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining the scope of projects in collaboration with senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring technical feasibility by closely coordinating between functional stakeholders and Product Management
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
  • Developing detailed project plans to track progress
  • Performing structured reviews of status of project plans with the project teams on a regular basis to ensure that project objectives and timelines are met
  • Maintaining files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented
  • Continuously evaluating current project planning process and pro-actively proposing and garnering support for improvements
  • Executing a communication schedule to update internal and external stakeholders on the progress of projects
  • Facilitating meeting scheduling, preparation, execution and post-meeting follow-up
  • Acting as first point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners regarding questions and requests
  • Delivering progress reporting to internal and external stakeholders

You’re the right person if you have:

  • 1-3 years of project management experience
  • A positive, engaging personality and the ability to work well with others – this is a highly cross-functional role which requires exceptional communication skills
  • A proactive and relentless attitude to solving complex problems and affecting change
  • Careful attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and ensure timely completion of same
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with project management software
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and interest in solar/sustainability
  • Experience working at a high-growth startup preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
