Sales Operations Manager

Sungage Financial originates thousands of loans each year through hundreds of different solar installation partners. Sungage is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to ensure that our sales team’s capabilities scale within a rapidly growing company and evolve with a quickly changing marketplace.

To facilitate these objectives, the Sales Operations Manager will take on a variety of projects and tasks that range from improving sales data quality, to enhancing sales processes and tools to refining our sales and marketing reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate combines a client-oriented approach with a data-driven, process-focused mindset and is driven by an unwavering bias for action.

This position reports to the Director of Operations and is located in Sungage’s Boston office.

Day to day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Systems and Data
    • Working with Sungage’s Product and Tech teams on specification, implementation, and testing of improvements to Sungage’s CRM application as it relates to the sales process
    • Maintaining accurate, relevant and timely data to support the decision making of Sungage’s Sales organization and other parts of the company
  • Sales Processes and Tools
    • Analyzing the sales process and identifying enhancements intended to accelerate the sales cycle and to promote widespread adoption
    • Providing insights into and recommendations for new and improved sales tools aimed at expediting key sales activities and increasing sales efficiency
  • Sales and Marketing Metrics and Insights
    • Reporting: Providing accurate reports and dashboards (utilizing platforms such as, Tableau, and Geckoboard) that enable the company to drive revenue growth, deliver value to our partners, and support sales compensation.
    • Analytics and Business Intelligence: Analyzing sales data and delivering actionable insights that shape and guide Sungage sales team investments and support decision-making.
    • Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Executing, continuously improving, and coordinating with the Sales organization on the forecasting process to accurately project sales activity and performance.
    • Planning: Supporting the planning process by providing analysis, gathering inputs, and maintaining version control.

You’re the right person if you:

  • Have 2-4 years of demonstrated work experience in using or designing sales tools, sales processes, and sales reporting (or any subset of these), preferably in a high growth organization.
  • Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage confidential information with a high degree of discretion.
  • Excel in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment and share a willingness to learn.
  • Are highly detail-oriented, organized and process-focused yet able to multi-task across a broad set of tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Display a proactive, energetic, and customer-centric attitude and an ability to quickly forge productive and collegial relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Exhibit expert proficiency across Microsoft’s Office suite; experience with and Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau is a plus.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
