Transaction Quality Assurance Specialist

Sungage Financial originates thousands of loans each year through hundreds of different solar installation partners. Sungage is seeking a Transaction Quality Assurance Specialist in our Boston office to ensure that all projects follow stated program rules and that our partners and customers are protected throughout the process. To accomplish this goal, the Transaction Quality Assurance Specialist will engage in activities such as reviewing solar installation contracts and validating home ownership and property eligibility and will also identify and help implement new process improvements. The ideal candidate brings a meticulous attention to detail, tact and diplomacy, integrity and a positive attitude to the work that they do.


  • Conduct project-level quality assurance:
    • Review each home improvement contract that is submitted for financing to ensure that it meets Sungage’s contract standards
    • Communicate and actively collaborate with colleagues to resolve project-level quality assurance discrepancies
    • Verify that the property on which the solar system is being installed is eligible for Sungage's solar loan program and that it is owned by the loan applicant
    • Validate "Permission to Operate" documents that have been provided by the utility
    • Conduct reviews of projects with unusually high cost or high estimated electricity production
    • Execute other quality assurance processes as required
  • Ensure that Sungage’s quality assurance processes are accessible to all stakeholders by maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation and by cross-training internal staff
  • Review contracts for all new installers to determine what changes, if any,  are required for their contract to meet program standards
  • Develop and execute methods to track and analyze quality metrics on contracts and other internal issue flags
  • Conduct post-installation quality checks by comparing estimated and actual production
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new quality assurance policies and procedures as necessary


  • Meticulous attention to detail with a dedication to always getting it right

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including tact, confidence and diplomacy when discussing challenging topics
  • A process-oriented mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Share a sincere commitment to ensuring that consumers are being treated fairly
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment and ability to adapt to changing processes
  • Positive “can-do” attitude
  • 2+ years working in quality assurance, compliance or fraud detection a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based software (Salesforce, Google Docs) a plus
  • Interest in solar/sustainability a plus
